POODLE FOSTERS NEEDED
On occasion we need temporary homes for poodles with fosters until a permanent home is found. Fostering is hugely rewarding. A poodle can stay as little as week and as long as a year with a foster family or individual. Maine Poodle Rescue subsidizes expenses in fostering, such as vet care and grooming.
Requirements are simple: a secure yard, time to spend with the foster poodle, exercise him/her, take the dog to the vet when necessary and sometimes teach basic obedience. Most of our foster dogs do not have major issues and quickly become part of their new foster family.
Please fill out our foster form.. It only takes a few minutes and we will get in touch with you and match you up with a poodle in need.

 Nice getting medical care |
Nice was pulled from the euthanize list at the Brooklyn Shelter in NY and was transported to CT where his rescuer Julee waited to take him to his foster home in Massachusetts
Julee thought Nice was just sick with Kennel Cough, the major reason why dogs are killed in the city shelter. The transport lady said his time was up and if Julee didn't want Nice because he was sick it was ok, she would just take him back and he would be put down.
Julee could not do that to the little guy so she took him back to MA and took him to her vet, Her vet is taking care of him but even with the vet's discounted rate she is facing a 750.00 vet bill.
An Angel has come forward and paid the balance of Nice's vet bill. However donations are always welcome and tax deductible. Your donations will always be used to help more little guys like Nice. |

A Happy Tail!
Gabby and her kitties..
Gabby was rescued back in November, since then Gabby has become a real love bug and loves to snuggle up on the couch. Recently Gabby found two kittens that were feral and became their adopted mom.
The kittens like to be outside much of the time, however at night, Gabby will not come inside and go to bed until they do! She will wait by the door for them, and then when they do... off to bed they all go.
Too cute! |
